Ever wanted something a bit special?

At Car & Home Stereo we have always embraced new technology and our custom install service is one of our greatest assets. Here is an example of the two coming together.

It all started with a You Tube clip of an American installer. A client asked me if he could have the same and never one to turn down a challenge I said yes!

This is a custom designed fibre glass moulding I made to fit the dash of a Mitsubishi Evo. The finish is black flock and Alcantera to match the interior. The iPad charges while in the dock and is of course removeable.

The audio is sent to an Audison Bit One digital signal processor. This powerful unit has the capacity to equalise the entire system and enhance the iPad's output. It also provides the client with four customised equaliser presets for preference. From there the sound is sent to the amplifiers, speakers and subwoofer.

Despite the iPad's only average audio performance the system sound is stunning. With the 3G access enabled the worldwide web is available with all the internet radio stations and video channels as well as Twitter and Facebook. Apps take on a new dimension and this client even has a vehicle diagnostic interface to monitor the car.
